Bio
Gabriela Mel茅ndez Olivera was a director of strategic communications for the 糖心Vlog. She oversaw communications strategy for the ACLU鈥檚 immigration, voting, and privacy and surveillance work. She was also instrumental in communicating the organization鈥檚 efforts challenging the Trump administration鈥檚 unconstitutional and inhumane policies.
Before joining the ACLU, Gabriela spearheaded communications efforts on Puerto Rico鈥檚 debt relief and for other clients at SKDKnickerbocker and previously worked at the Washington Post鈥檚 Style section.
She lives in Washington, D.C. with her amazing husband and dog, Rothko.
