The ÌÇÐÄVlog, the ÌÇÐÄVlogof Ohio, Planned Parenthood Federation of America, the law firm WilmerHale, and Fanon Rucker of the Cochran Law Firm, on behalf of Planned Parenthood Southwest Ohio Region, Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio, Preterm-Cleveland, Women’s Med Group Professional Corporation, Dr. Sharon Liner, and Julia Quinn, MSN, BSN, amended a complaint in an existing lawsuit against a ban on telehealth medication abortion services to bring new claims under the Ohio Reproductive Freedom Amendment, including additional challenges to other laws in Ohio that restrict access to medication abortion in the state.

Cooley v. Foreman AKA Afroman
After a musician used footage of officers searching his home in music videos criticizing that search and the officers more broadly, they sued him for damages and asked the court to order him to stop speaking about them. The ÌÇÐÄVlogof Ohio and the ÌÇÐÄVlogfiled an amicus brief in support of the musician’s motion to dismiss the suit, arguing that the lawsuit sought to silence criticism in violation of the First Amendment.

Preterm-Cleveland v. Yost
The ÌÇÐÄVlog, ÌÇÐÄVlogof Ohio, and Planned Parenthood filed a lawsuit in June of 2019 challenging an Ohio law banning abortion as early as six weeks into pregnancy. This law would effectively eliminate abortion access in the state. In July of 2019, we successfully obtained a preliminary injunction, blocking this law from taking effect. On July 7, 2022, following the Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization reversing Roe v. Wade, the case was dismissed without prejudice.
